The general aviation industry stands against the privatization of ATC (Air Traffic Control).
The battle in the House of Representatives over privatization of our nation's air traffic control system has reached a critical point with Representative Bill Shuster's (R-PA) bill H.R. 2997 coming to the floor next week where the House is expected to vote.
It is imperative the business aviation industry stand united and call upon our respective Representatives in the next 48 hours to voice our collective opposition to H.R. 2997, the 21st Century AIRR Act.
You can find your Congressman’s phone number by using this directory. In most cases when you call, you will speak to his or her Chief of Staff or staff member.
For more information read the General Aviation's official position on this bill.
Also in this document, GAMA (General Aviation Manufacturers Association) addresses some of the most prominent misconceptions about the ATC privatization proposal.
Both documents will help to provide additional comments and talking points when you make the call.
The most important thing is to make the call and voice your opposition to this bill. Please take a minute or two to call at least one or two Representatives and voice opposition to H.R. 2997.
