LINCOLN, NEB — Duncan Aviation is pleased to announce that Aaron Jensen had accepted the position as manager of the Seattle Satellite Avionics Shop.

“After working on the floor for many years with the Seattle Satellite, we are proud and excited to have Aaron in a leadership position there,” says Manager of Satellite Operations Matt Nelson. “We feel that Aaron can foster and grow our important customer relationships in that region.”

After spending most of his career in North Carolina, Jensen returned home when he accepted a position with the Duncan Aviation Satellite Avionics Shop at the Boeing Airfield at King County International Airport three years ago.

In his more than 29 years in the aviation industry, Jensen worked in a variety of positions as an Airframe & Powerplant (A&P) mechanic. He spent time working on cargo planes and special ops surveillance aircraft as a civilian contractor for the Air National Guard. As a shop manager, Jensen supervised several technicians, and they were responsible for maintaining aircraft that were involved in domestic drug interdiction and aerial surveillance.

“The Duncan family has created a legacy that I’m proud to be a part of,” says Jensen. “The company treats its employees well, providing us with all of the resources we need to serve our customers knowledgably, safely, and efficiently. We’re a small shop that sees a great diversity of work, and we have to problem-solve every day, but we have a great team and an entire company behind us, supporting us all the way. It’s just phenomenal.”

Although work is time-consuming, Jensen feels that Duncan Aviation affords him a great work/life balance. When he’s not in the shop, he and Seanna, his wife of 15 years, spend time with their many, many grown children and four grandchildren.

“Our family of adult children is a large collection of yours, mine, and ours,” says Jensen, “ so we visit with them and help them out with adulting. I have an hour commute each way every day, and that’s the time I catch up with my kids since they are spread around several states.”

Jensen and his wife enjoy the peace and tranquility of living on their hobby farm, and they enjoy music and the arts, attending community theater with friends when they can. They also enjoy traveling to visit family and friends in California and North Carolina and overseas.
