Duncan Aviation Completes STCs for Legacy 600

Duncan Aviation is pleased to announce its Engineering & Certification Services recently amended two Supplemental Type Certificates (STCs). The first STC (ST01856WI) is for the Honeywell Aerospace Flight Management System (FMS) and the second STC (ST01858WI) is for Future Air Navigation System (FANS). These STC amendments will allow owner/operators of Embraer (Yaborã Indústria Aeronáutica) EMB-135BJ aircraft to upgrade their existing NZ-2010 FMS from version 6.1 to version 6.1.1 and certify the Mode V Glidepath deviation alerting and annunciation for precision approaches.

Duncan Aviation’s St. Paul Satellite Installs Garmin G5000 In Two Citation Excels

Duncan Aviation is pleased to announce its Satellite facility in St. Paul, Minnesota, recently installed the Garmin G5000 integrated flight deck in two of a customer’s Citation Excel aircraft. After removing the entire cockpit, the crew in St. Paul installed the G5000, which includes bright, high-resolution color displays, touchscreen interfaces with audible feedback, Automatic Flight Guidance and Control Systems, GPS, Synthetic Vision System (SVS), and real-time weather, chart, traffic, and terrain information on the large moving maps that provide pilots with a great deal of situational awareness.

Duncan Aviation Installs Its 250th Gogo Biz AVANCE L5

Duncan Aviation is pleased to announce that it will be installing its 250th Gogo Business Aviation (NASDAQ: GOGO) AVANCETM L5 in-flight Wi-Fi system in a Gulfstream GV-SP at its facility in Lincoln, Nebraska. Using one of the nine Supplemental Type Certificates (STC) developed by the company’s Engineering and Certification Department, the Duncan Aviation avionics technicians will perform the company’s 250th full-equipment installation of this popular, reliable Wi-Fi system.

Duncan Aviation Welcomes Greg Gancarz as Manager of Sacramento Satellite

After a career at Duncan Aviation that has spanned 21 years and several states, Bob Hazy, manager of the Duncan Aviation Satellites in Sacramento and Hayward, California, will be retiring in June 2021. Current Crew Leader Greg Gancarz has agreed to assume the responsibilities as the manager of both Sacramento and Hayward on April 1, 2021.
