Falcon: Tritium Exit Signs

September 2012

Tritium Exit Signs

The glow-in-the-dark Tritium "EXIT" signs that may be installed in Falcon aircraft are being phased out due to the emission of low levels of radiation. These emissions have been deemed sensitive to some local regulations.

Forward Galley Sign

The related Service Bulletin (SB) requires the forward galley sign near the sink be removed and a blanking plate installed in its place.

Mid-Ship Bulkhead Sign

Required action for the exit sign on the right-hand fuselage exit door depends on its visibility from the rear of the aircraft. If the “EXIT” sign can be seen from the rear of the aircraft, then the bulkhead glow-in-the-dark sign should be removed and replaced by a blanking plate. If it can’t be seen, it needs to be replaced by a sign that is electrically powered.
