As you gear up for the FAA's mandated ADS-B upgrades, remember that the equipment must be certified, and only qualified technicians can install and properly test the equipment once it's in place. Duncan Aviation has developed or has access to 42 STCs (Supplemental Type Certificates) that cover more than 100 makes and models of aircraft.
For instance, Bruce Miller, Manager of the Duncan Aviation Cincinnati, Ohio, Satellite Avionics Shop, recently upgraded a Cessna 560, King Air 350i, and a Gulfstream G-200, using an AML-STC (Approved Model List-Supplemental Type Certificate) developed by CMD Flight Solutions.
That means Miller and his team have performed these upgrades, they’ve discovered and worked through issues unique to these airframes, and are now able to fit these aircraft with ADS-B-compliant equipment in as little as 10 days.
From today forward, there are 26 months before the mandate deadline of January 1, 2020.
If you’re near the Duncan Aviation Cincinnati, Ohio Satellite Shop, give Bruce a call (+1 513.873.7523). Or reserve a slot at one of the Duncan Aviation Satellite Avionics Shops near you by calling any of the Satellite shops.
