Most Falcon operators are well aware of the 2020 mandates for ADS-B operational requirements in the US and Europe. However, we find that many are not aware of the ADS-B standards, options, and prerequisites required.
Here’s a quick explanation…
Falcon 10/20/50
Due to the wide variation of equipment in these legacy aircraft, the ADS-B solution must be customized for each aircraft. Duncan Aviation will provide a quote upon request.
Falcon 50EX/2000/EX (Collins Pro Line 4 equipped)
The existing GPS-4000 GPS Sensors and Antennas can be replaced for WAAS capability and the existing TDR-94D Transponders must be modified for ADS-B DO-260B* compatibility. Dassault and third party STCs are available. A stand-alone GPS option is available.
F2000EX (EASy)
EASy II SB (Service Bulletin) 302 provides ADS-B. EASy II SB300 (Baseline) is a prerequisite. Duncan Aviation is able to install these SBs.
F900B
The existing HG2021GD02 GPS Sensors and Antennas can be replaced for WAAS capability and the existing Transponders must be modified or replaced for ADS-B DO-260B* compatibility. Duncan Aviation has access to these STCs. A stand-alone GPS option is available.
F900C/EX
The existing HG2021KB02 GPS Sensors and Antennas can be replaced for WAAS capability and the existing TDR-94D Transponders must be modified for ADS-B DO-260B* compatibility. Duncan Aviation has access to these STCs. A stand-alone GPS option is available.
F900EX (EASy)
EASy II Service Bulletin 402 provides ADS-B. EASy II SB400 (Baseline) Cert II or above, is a prerequisite. Duncan Aviation is able to install these Service Bulletins.
*If your aircraft has the TDR-94D transponder, the best way to determine if your aircraft has the proper aircraft level of ADS-B that meets the DO-260B standard is to verify the TDR-94D transponder part number. Transponders with part numbers of 622-9210-409 or lower are not compliant with the mandate and will need to be upgraded in the waning months before January 1, 2020.
Duncan Aviation is the only independent Collins Aerospace Authorized Service Facility approved to repair, modify and convert to ADS-B the TDR-94D transponders.
