The Hawker starter contact assembly, P/N: LDA200-B18C, is installed on the Hawker 125 Series 1 A/B, 3 A/B, 400 A/B, 600, 700, 750, 800, 800XP, 850XP, and 900XP aircraft. The contacts are made from silver cadmium oxide, a rare, hard-to-find material that, over time, can develop corrosion and pitting issues on the main internal contacts. This raises the amperage and reduces effectiveness of the electrical system.
Replacing the T-bar and contacts from the OEM will cost approximately $10,000.
At Duncan Aviation, we have developed a new Approved Repair Procedure that takes the old assembly and repairs it with newly fabricated buttons, ensuring their conductivity via testing. This repair procedure costs considerably less than the OEM price.
