Honeywell ended FMS Navigation database updates on September 30, 2022, for all versions of the NZ FMS prior to version NZ 6.1 on all aircraft that have a certified path to upgrade.
For operators with FMS Navigation database contracts expiring after September 30, 2022, but need additional time to upgrade to NZ 6.1 beyond the expiration of their subscription, Honeywell will offer a one-time bridge subscription not to go beyond September 30, 2023. This is a permanent discontinuation of support for all NZ FMS’s prior to NZ 6.1. There will be no bridge database service of pre-NZ 6.1 after September 30, 2023.
Depending on your FMS’s configuration this may be a software-only upgrade or an upgrade of both software and hardware. The software-only upgrade is relatively easy and fast. The software and hardware upgrade will take longer due to current supply chain lead times.
