Citation Passenger Oxygen Mask AD

Citation operators should be aware that the FAA has released AD2011-14-08 on B/E Aerospace passenger oxygen masks with in-line flow fuses. If your aircraft has an upcoming inspection on the passenger oxygen masks, it is a perfect time to clear this Airworthiness Directive (AD). We have found a large portion of the inspected masks to have defective/cracked flow fuses. Replacing the mask is the only corrective action.

It is simple to tell whether the AD applies to the masks in your aircraft. Inspect the flow fuse and note the color of the direction arrow and the word FLOW. If the letters are black, the AD applies. If they are green, it is the new style of fuse and no replacement is required.
