The Citation Sovereign is already a solid aircraft with known reliability. But the performance gains that come with this upgrade are impressive. This upgrade provides Sovereign owners with greater operational flexibility and performance benefits, such as increased speed at altitude, increased range /payload, improved time-to-climb, and more.
We are authorized by Winglet Technology to install the Transitional Winglets on Sovereign aircraft. Over the summer, we delivered the industry’s first Sovereign winglet upgrade and already have two more scheduled to begin in mid-September.
Setting aside the performance gains the Transitional winglets provide, downtime for the winglet modification can be a challenge. Scheduling the modification with Service Bulletins, inspections, interior modifications, paint refurbishments and avionics installations uses downtime more wisely, often without extending the service schedule.
To take advantage of the downtime and/or wing inspection access, the Citation Sovereign winglet modification is recommended to be scheduled with the Cessna Document 9 and 11.
