Falcon maintenance Task Cards like 55-10-00-220-801—“Detailed inspection of the horizontal stab internal box structure” or the checking paint thickness card 20-60-00-370-813 all pertain to composite stabs. So how do you know if yours is composite or metallic?
Here is an easy way to tell. Look at the very inboard closeout panel on the bottom of the H-stab. An oval panel is a tell-tale sign of a composite stab. If it’s a rectangular panel, it’s metallic.
Circular panel = composite stab |
Rectangular panel = metallic stab |
