Gulfstream has issued a Customer Bulletin (CB) for the G350, G450 and G550 pertaining to the Securaplane XL249 emergency battery. The CB requires the Securaplane Service Bulletin 100-0302-24-139 be complied with at the next internal battery change (a 48-month requirement).
The SB modifies the Power Harness Assembly to prevent charging circuit failure if the unit is operated in TRU mode with the batteries in a discharged condition.
Units that have been previously modified will have Mods 9, 11 and 13 marked out on the data plate.
Duncan Aviation has two facilities capable of fulfilling this SB requirement; the Lincoln, Neb., full-service maintenance facility and the Van Nuys, Calif., Satellite avionics shop. Both are able to offer full SB compliance at a much quicker turn-time than that of the OEM.
