Duncan Aviation Announces Regional Avionics Sales Manager & New Managers At Three Satellites

LINCOLN, NEB. — Duncan Aviation is pleased to announce that four of its team members at various Satellites in its network have taken on new management roles. Not only does Duncan Aviation have a presence at busy airports throughout the country to provide easy access to the company’s services for its customers, there are also numerous opportunities for growth and advancement for its team members.

Winter, Mark - WINMA.jpg
    • Mark Winter joined Duncan Aviation as the Manager of the Satellite shop in Houston, Texas, in 2010. In the intervening years, Winter has grown the shop from 5 technicians to today’s 25, and he grew the business to the point of needing a new hangar. They moved into that new, state-of-the-art space in August 2020. Winter credits his team and the support he gets from Manager of Satellite Operations Matt Nelson for his success. Winter has developed a rapport with his customers that will serve him well in his new role as Avionics Regional Sales Manager, and customers will have a single point-of-contact for information about scheduling and quotes for work at any of the 29 Duncan Aviation Satellites.

Sweppenhiser, Chad - SWEPC.jpg
    • Chad Sweppenhiser, taking over for Mark Winter, is the new Manager at Duncan Aviation’s Houston Satellite. Sweppenhiser learned about avionics working on F-18s in the United States Marine Corps. Once he finished his second enlistment, Sweppenhiser worked for another MRO before joining Duncan Aviation 13 years ago as an avionics technician. He steadily moved up the ranks to Crew Leader, Assistant Production Manager, Assistant Manager, and now Manager of Duncan Aviation’s largest Satellite. Sweppenhiser says his focus is on supporting his team so they can continue providing the on-time, quality service for which the Houston Shop is known.

McCabe, Logan - MCCAL.jpg
    • Logan McCabe is the new Manager of the Duncan Aviation Satellite at the airport in Manassas, Virginia, where he and his team serve new and existing Duncan Aviation customers in the Mid-Atlantic Region. After earning his bachelor’s degree in Business Administration from Florida Atlantic 11 years ago, McCabe job-shadowed at the Duncan Aviation Satellite in Ft Lauderdale, Florida. There, he was as intrigued by all he saw as they were impressed with his work ethic and ability to pick up everything they showed him. After working at the Ft Lauderdale Satellite, McCabe joined the Satellite in Austin, Texas, as a Crew Lead. After a few years there, McCabe took on the role of Team Leader at the new Duncan Aviation Satellite in Manassas, Virginia. At the start, he was the sole technician at the shop, and he’s grown the business to 4 technicians. As the new Manager, he’s hoping to further cement the Satellite’s position on the field and continue to grow their relationships with customers as well as the team of technicians.

Vittling, Joel - VITTJ.jpg
  • Joe Vittling has been with Duncan Aviation for more than seven years and had previously served Duncan Aviation customers at a location in Southern California. Since 2022, Vittling and his crew have been based at Nashville International Airport (BNA) and have kept busy visiting numerous airports in the area to work on customers’ aircraft. Like many business aviation facilities, Vittling is hoping to grow his team and add a sheet metal specialist. He’ll be the first to tell anyone with mechanical aptitude to consider a career in business aviation, especially at Duncan Aviation. Although pilots are always necessary, there are far more career options available (https://duncanaviation.workgr8.com/). Originally from a small town in Ohio, Vittling learned his craft in the United States Air Force and is grateful to work at Duncan Aviation, a company he considers the best in the business aviation industry.

“We’re pleased that these team members have taken on the new roles and responsibilities as Regional Avionics Sales Managers and as Managers of their respective Satellite shops,” says Duncan Aviation’s Manager of Satellite Operations Matt Nelson. “All have proven themselves adept at their technical skills, of course. More importantly, all four have served customers at their facilities with the respect, integrity, and excellence that our customers have come to expect at all Duncan Aviation facilities throughout the country.”
