Lincoln, Nebraska - Last month Duncan Aviation rolled out Straight Talk podcasts for customers, team members, and the communities they call home to enjoy on a variety of platforms, including Spotify, Apple Podcasts, and the company’s website. The first few podcasts maintained a focus on the company’s core values; however, with the outbreak of the COVID-19 virus, a different course of action has taken place.
The first special edition podcast regarding COVID-19 is titled; Tips & Tricks for Customers of the Duncan Aviation Flight Department. This podcast is focused on keeping your aircraft and those who fly within it safe. Some of the tips and tricks recommended in the podcast include implementing a passenger questionnaire, mitigating risk when flying to regions with community spread of COVID-19, disinfecting your aircraft, and limiting access to flight lobbies.
The second special edition podcast regarding COVID-19 is a sit down Q&A with President Aaron Hilkemann and Executive Vice President/COO Jeff Lake. In this podcast Jeff and Aaron discussed the three main focuses Duncan Aviation has during this pandemic: team members, facilities, and customer aircraft.
"We feel the steps that we are taking in the crisis are not only keeping our team members safe, but our customers and the local community safe as well,” says Aaron Hilkemann.
Duncan Aviation has also worked to contribute to the local communities by making face masks. “We have cut almost 2,400 masks for our team members. We have also had another 3,000 masks being made for local hospitals, medical clinics and corrections facilities in the Lincoln community. We are proud to be part of the Business Aviation community and proud of how our team members have come together to address this challenge,” Hilkemann says. As uncertainties continue for the industry and all involved, Duncan Aviation has come together to support one another along with contributing to local communities.
