LINCOLN, NEB — Duncan Aviation is pleased to announce that the program it launched making its highly regarded Engineering & Certification Services available for projects throughout the aerospace industry is nearly two years old. The primary role of this team of engineers and certification specialists is supporting companies throughout the industry, and the team has been extremely busy responding to requests for services and completing projects.
In the last few years, the Engineering & Certification Services team at Duncan Aviation has completed 16 new and amended STCs for customers in the industry, with two additional projects in progress, and more than a dozen new proposals for STCs in the initial stages.
“Our new team was Duncan Aviation’s response to the significant increase in demand we’ve seen throughout the industry for qualified engineering and certification professionals. Duncan Aviation is an Organization Designation Authorization (ODA), and working with our teams of Duncan Aviation experts and our partners around the world, this team has exceeded expectations from the start. Demand for our services is steady, and we continue to seek out new partnerships to support the needs of the aviation community,” said Shawn Carraher, Manager of Engineering & Certification Business Development in Lincoln, Nebraska.
Throughout its 62-year history, Duncan Aviation has been a leading service provider supporting the aviation community, and over the past 35 years, the Duncan Aviation Engineering & Certification Services team members have worked on aircraft systems and structures modifications projects and approved design changes for interiors/airframe modifications and system installations and upgrades with an exemplary record of safety and compliance. Combining their individual years of service, this team has hundreds of years of engineering and aviation experience, which allows them to recognize, manage, and mitigate risk for our customers to ensure timely and efficient project completions.
“Since 1995, we have been able to act on behalf of the FAA through our Designated Alteration Station (DAS) and since 2011 through our ODA. This allows us to certify Major Repairs and Alterations (MRA), Parts Manufacturer Approval (PMA), and Supplemental Type Certificate (STC) projects,” said Aaron Lane, Certification Coordinator for Duncan Aviation’s outside Engineering and Certification Services Team. “Our performance and the trust that we have with the FAA allows us to undertake and complete all kinds of diverse and oftentimes complicated projects. Duncan Aviation has the authority, experience and resources to offer this certification authority to just about anyone in the industry. We look forward to offering our assistance and leadership to anyone who needs an ally in the world of certification.”
