LINCOLN, NEB — Please join Duncan Aviation in welcoming John Spellmeyer as the company’s new Regional Avionics Sales Manager. Spellmeyer will rely on his extensive knowledge and 40 years of aviation experience to help support Duncan Aviation’s customers in the western United States.
“It’s a pleasure to join the Duncan Aviation team, where I’ll be working alongside many long-time friends” says Spellmeyer. “I’m looking forward to using my passion for aviation and my experience to serve Duncan Aviation’s expanding customer base.”
Spellmeyer’s aviation experience took off early, and he flew solo at the tender age of 15. Since then, he’s served in the military, business and general aviation industries. As a pilot flying B-1 and B-52 bombers in the United States Air Force, Spellmeyer served 16 years and fulfilled many roles, including Chief of Weapons & Tactics, Chief of Aircrew Standardazation and Evaluation and Director of Aircrew Training.
For the last 13 years, he’s worked for Rockwell Collins, performing pilot training, providing Original Equipment Manager (OEM) support and selling the company’s Commercial Systems.
Spellmeyer has more than 5,000 hours of flight time, and as an FAA Acquisition System Toolset (FAST) Team industry representative, he is active and well-known in the general aviation industry. In his spare time, Spellmeyer enjoys flying his 1963 Beechcraft Debonair.
“We are excited to have John join the Duncan Aviation team,” says Nate Klenke, Manager of Modification Sales. “John’s energy and passion for aviation, along with his experience and character, make him a perfect fit to serve our clients.”
