TFE731: Honeywell Changes to CAMP Systems for ECTM Data Analysis

May 2014

Honeywell recently announced through Service Information Letters (SIL) that the company is moving its Engine Condition Trend Monitoring (ECTM) data analysis from Jet-Care to CAMP Systems. This move impacts all Honeywell engines, including those outfitted with digital electronic engine control (DEEC) data collection.

Honeywell is encouraging all operators to enroll and submit data to CAMP ECTM.

If you do not currently trend monitor your aircraft’s engine, I encourage you to begin now. ECTM is an early detection program that will recognize and identify certain engine component malfunctions and in-flight engine performance. These malfunctions, if left uncorrected, could lead to costly repairs or interrupted flight.

CAMP Enrollment / Data Collection

Honeywell has made CAMP program a requirement for all Honeywell Maintenance Service Plan (MSP) and Fleet Maintenance Plan (FMP) engines. CAMP will be proactively contacting these operators for enrollment.

All non-MSP/-FMP operators should contact CAMP directly for enrollment.

Whether using automatic (DEEC) or manual (Kneepad) data collection, CAMP has made it easy to submit data. Here are the four methods to submit ECTM data:

  • Email: trend@campsystems.com
  • FAX (Kneepad only) 1 800.750.5655
  • Mobile Application (Kneepad only). Applications are available for iPhone and iPad users.
  • Website upload: operators can log onto CAMP Systems website (www.campsystems.com) to upload flight data and check ECTM trends

For more information and details about the transition to CAMP Systems, please refer to your relevant SIL:

  • All TFE731 engine models with N1 DEEC: SIL F731-88
  • All TFE731 engine models without N1 DEEC: F731-77
  • AS907 engines: SIL AS907-3

As always, feel free to contact me with any questions about your Honeywell engines.
