LINCOLN, NEB. — Duncan Aviation is pleased to announce the appointment of Mitch Robson as the company’s Southwest Regional Manager. In his new role, Robson will support aircraft operators in Utah, Southern Nevada, Arizona, and Southern California to help them become more familiar with Duncan Aviation’s comprehensive capabilities and services.
“With my years of airframe maintenance experience, I have a deep understanding of the required work and know the right questions to ask. This will help facilitate better communication and the ability to provide the service my customers need,” Robson said.
Robson brings with him a wealth of aviation experience spanning 35 years, which began with full-time active duty as a Navy crewman in the US Navy while stationed at NAS Norfolk, Virginia. During his 10 years of service, he hung out of the back end of an H53E helicopter as a minesweeper ahead of aircraft carriers in the ocean. Later, he became a door gunner aboard H60HH, transporting Seal teams.
Robson is a long-time team member of Duncan Aviation, marking his 25th year at the company in 2024. His tenure began in various technical positions, including airframe technician, lead mechanic, and Team Leader on Hawkers, Citations, and Challengers at the company’s MRO (maintenance, repair, and overhaul) facility in Battle Creek, Michigan. In 2010, he played a pivotal role in establishing the first Bombardier airframe team at Duncan Aviation’s then-new full-service MRO in Provo, Utah. In the years since, he has advanced in his responsibilities as Team Leader, Assistant Airframe Manager/Scheduler, and Project Manager. He briefly left to take a position as a Director of Maintenance elsewhere, but says he is thrilled to be back with his Duncan Aviation family.
“Mitch will be a great addition to our dynamic Regional Manager team. His strong technical background, thorough knowledge of Duncan Aviation processes, and customer-focused approach will be beneficial to supporting customers in the region and his fellow Regional Managers. With his broad perspective and deep appreciation for our core values, we are excited to have Mitch further cultivate customer relationships and represent Duncan Aviation in the Southwest,” says Stef Sedam, RM Manager with Duncan Aviation.
Robson has been married to Nancy for 30 years. Together, they have two children. His son, Jacob, is an airframe technician at Duncan Aviation’s MRO location in Provo. His daughter Sara is a Manager at a local restaurant. In his free time, you’ll find Robson with his family and hiking with his Newfoundland dog, Maggie. Based in Salt Lake City, Utah, Robson looks forward to connecting with clients and can be reached directly at +1 385.445.3211.
