LINCOLN, NEB — Duncan Aviation has officially added its 15th Rapid Response mobile engine services launch location in the Oakland, Calif., area.  Operators in northern California now have more convenient access to Duncan Aviation services like engine AOG and most scheduled and unscheduled events, including engine changes.

“There is a large presence of existing Duncan Aviation customers in the area who rely on our MRO facilities in Battle Creek, Mich.; Lincoln, Neb.; and Provo, Utah; for additional MRO services,” says Shane Heier, Rapid Response Assistant Manager—West Coast.

“We have been providing mobile Rapid Response services to these customers and other local operators through our Rapid Response locations in Seattle, Wash., and Long Beach, Calif. We have been looking for the right person to step in and establish a dedicated local resource for reliable mobile engine services to support these customers.”

Greg Gaden is the right person.

Gaden’s aircraft engine knowledge and experience span more than 30 years on engine platforms including Honeywell (AS907/TFE731), Rolls Royce, and Pratt & Whitney for companies like Textron Aviation, Dallas Airmotive, Talon Air, and Garrett Aviation. After earning his A&P license in 1983, Gaden has held positions that span the entire spectrum of the aircraft engine industry from senior technician, crew chief, DOM, field service representative, and quality control inspector.

But it is working directly with the customers, meeting their needs, and solving their problems that gets Gaden excited. “I look forward to developing connections and relationships with operators in the region. I want to be their local resource for technical questions and engine Rapid Response needs,” he says.

Gaden has been up and running since August, establishing relationships, providing local engine support, and traveling the region to assist other Duncan Aviation RRT teams.

Heier adds that the Duncan Aviation Rapid Response network is always looking for the right person to join the team. “If we find the right individual with the right mix of turbine engine experience, we have the spot for them and the work to keep them busy.”
