LINCOLN, NEB — Kasey Harwick, who joined the Senior Management Team at Duncan Aviation in July 2017 and has served as Director of Maintenance for the last year, has been named the Vice President of Maintenance at the company’s Battle Creek, Michigan, facility. In his new role, Harwick will continue to manage the airframe shops and oversee the engine and accessory departments in Battle Creek.
“Having worked at Duncan Aviation for nearly 18 years, I am well-aware that consistent, high-quality work is paramount to our customers and team members alike. Our customers choose Duncan Aviation because our team members are dedicated to providing high quality maintenance and repairs while adhering to aggressive downtimes,” says Harwick.
As an Interior Shop Assistant, Harwick started his career at Duncan Aviation in 1999, working completions on green Astra SPX aircraft. Transitioning to Airframe gave him experience on Learjets and Astras, and when he took on the role of Lead Technician, he added Challengers to his growing repertoire. Harwick moved on to Team Leader for the fleet customer program, served as Project Manager, and until mid-2017, when he and his family moved to Battle Creek, he was the Airframe Department Manager at Duncan Aviation’s Lincoln, Nebraska facility.
“In my various roles at the company, I’ve seen the myriad complications our team members face on projects, so I can provide assistance and support while we work through issues and effectively communicate our customers’ needs to the team,” says Harwick.
While working at Duncan Aviation, Harwick earned an Associate of Applied Science degree in Non-Destructive Testing, an Associate Degree in Science, a Bachelor of Science degree in Business with a minor in Marketing, and will be awarded his Master of Business Administration (MBA) from Creighton University’s Heider College of Business in August.
