LINCOLN, NEB — Duncan Aviation has worked with Aviation Clean Air (ACA) to have some of their portable Ion Distribution Units in use throughout the Duncan Aviation booth during the NBAA Convention Oct. 12-14 in Las Vegas. These portable, electric-powered ionization units have been adapted for use in decontaminating the air and surfaces in aircraft interiors while on the ground as well as other passenger areas such as lounges, boarding areas and holding areas. The units will create increased air ions throughout Duncan Aviation’s booth during the show, potentially providing pathogen protection while allowing show attendees to see the units and learn about the benefits of patented Bipolar Ionization technology in their aircraft.
Duncan Aviation has been installing an air-cleaning ionization component from ACA that is designed to work with an aircraft’s existing environmental control system and actively purify the air and surfaces in the entire aircraft during all phases of flight.
We have created installation packages for the ACA ionization system for Bombardier Global, Challenger 300, and Challenger 350 aircraft that includes everything necessary for installing the system including the STC (Supplemental Type Certificate), the ionizers, and PMA (Parts Manufacturer Approval) parts kits.
Modification of the air ducts is necessary for the installation and can be performed at all of Duncan Aviation’s MRO facilities (Battle Creek, Michigan, Lincoln, Nebraska, or Provo, Utah) and many of the company’s Satellite Shops located throughout the United States.
This technology has been used in several other industries for years and has been installed in hundreds of thousands of office buildings, schools, airports, hotels, and other community spaces worldwide.
