In response to customers’ growing needs for Falcon airframe support, Duncan Aviation added a new technical position at its Lincoln, Nebraska, headquarters. John Spevak has been tapped as a Falcon Airframe Tech Rep, providing troubleshooting and technical support to Falcon customers and Duncan Aviation airframe maintenance teams.
Spevak’s passion for aircraft and his 31 years of corporate aviation experience began with a tour of Duncan Aviation while he was still in high school. He went on to pursue this passion at Colorado Aerotech, earning an A&P.
Spevak joined Duncan Aviation in 1990 as a Mechanic I on the Learjet team. Over the years, he worked on several airframe maintenance teams gaining experience on Gulfstream, Falcon, Hawker, Cessna, Astra, JetStar, and MU-2 aircraft. He worked hard and advanced from a Mechanic I to Falcon Airframe Team Leader. Spevak earned his Private Pilot’s License and has enjoyed many years of flying during this same time.
“John’s dedication, experience, and personable nature make him valuable in the growth and support of Duncan Aviation’s Falcon Program,” says Jeremy Rangel, Manager of Airframe Service. “Our customers and other airframe technicians have come to trust his technical opinions, calling him in to take the lead during complicated airframe maintenance events.”
Spevak is married to his wife Michelle, and has one son Tyler and three grandchildren. Tyler is also following the aviation career path as an Airframe Technician at Duncan Aviation.
Spevak is still turning wrenches on his motorcycles, car, house projects, and toy hauler in his time away from work.
He can be contacted via email at John.Spevak@DuncanAviation.com or via phone at +1 402.540.2444.
