LINCOLN, NEB. — Dan Ryba, a multimedia artist specializing in 3D illustrations, recently joined the in-house aircraft interior and paint design team at Duncan Aviation’s Lincoln, Nebraska, facility. In this position, Ryba will be creating 3D conceptual illustrations for customer looking to make interior and exterior modifications to their business aircraft.
“Dan is a great addition to our design team,” says Nate Klenke, Manager of Completions Service Sales at Duncan Aviation’s Lincoln location. “For years, our team of designers have combined their creativity and artistry with their understanding of how aircraft work to turn thousands of corporate aircraft interiors into functional works of art. In today’s environment, clients expect to see renderings of just how the finished product will look. Dan will allow more customers to better visualize how a paint design will wrap around the exterior of their aircraft or how a seat reconfiguration will change their interior before they approve the work.”
With traditional two-dimensional designs, areas of the aircraft can be difficult to view, Klenke explains. Providing three-dimensional designs gives customers a visually improved representation. This builds confidence that the design will turn out as expected and helps to eliminate any unexpected aspects of a certain design.
Ryba has extensive experience in computer graphics and design, having produced animation, illustration and motion graphics for a local video company for 11 years. He holds a bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering and also spent two years studying graphic design and computer science. He has years of experience in creating 3D designs and has previously performed freelance work for companies in the aviation industry.
