LINCOLN, NEB. — Strengthening its commitment to world-class engine maintenance and operator support, Duncan Aviation is pleased to announce the promotion of Scott Stoki to Vice President of Engine Operations. A veteran of the company with a deep technical background, Stoki’s appointment reinforces the Duncan Aviation mission to provide aircraft operators with innovative MRO solutions and industry-leading expertise.
Stoki succeeds Doug Alleman, who is retiring at the end of the year after a distinguished 38-year career. This transition ensures seamless continuity for Duncan Aviation’s customers, leveraging Stoki’s over two decades of hands-on experience to further minimize aircraft downtime and maximize engine performance.
For the last five years, Duncan Aviation’s engine services have been on a fast track of growth. In his new role, Stoki will build on this momentum by focusing on key initiatives designed to enhance the customer experience:
Expanded Engine Maintenance Capabilities: With a strategic eye to the future, Stoki plans to continue exploring expanded engine service offerings across all platforms when it makes sense.
Reduced Turn-Times: To optimize Duncan Aviation’s new 36,000-square-foot DOF (Designated Overhaul Facility), in-house backshop capabilities are reorganized, including paint, inspections, and test cell operations, to streamline workflows and return aircraft to service faster.
Strategic Parts Sourcing: In collaboration with Duncan Aviation’s DMS (Duncan Manufacturing Solutions) division, Stoki aims to enhance in-house part repairs and improve parts sourcing to provide more cost-effective solutions for operators.
Stoki’s journey at Duncan Aviation began in 2005 as an Engine Line Technician. Moving from the hangar floor to Quality Assurance and eventually into management has given him a unique, 360-degree view of the maintenance process. This foundation allows him to bridge the gap between complex engine mechanics and the strategic requirements of flight departments.
“Scott has an unparalleled blend of technical acumen and strategic foresight,” says Mike Minchow, Duncan Aviation President. “His leadership will be pivotal as we continue to expand our capabilities and deliver the exceptional service our customers have come to expect.”
Stoki’s dedication to high-performance engines extends beyond the office. He is an accomplished racer at the Bonneville Salt Flats, where he personally built the engine for his 1985 Pontiac Firebird, which reached a personal best of 241 MPH. This same passion for precision and speed drives his approach to aviation excellence.
