LINCOLN, NEB. — Duncan Aviation is pleased to announce that Tom Leone has accepted the position of Airframe Manager at the company’s full-service facility in Lincoln, Nebraska. Leone's journey with Duncan Aviation began in August 2015 as a technician on the Gulfstream Airframe team. After demonstrating exceptional skills and leadership qualities, he was promoted to Team Leader in 2020 and then Assistant Manager of Airframe Services in 2023.
"Tom brings a wealth of experience in team development, clear communication, and strategic planning to his leadership role," said Jeremy Rangel, VP of Aircraft Services. "His dedication to quality and customer service sets him apart as the ideal leader for our maintenance teams. With these strengths, he is well-positioned to elevate the Airframe department to new heights."
Growing up in Nebraska from the age of five, Leone’s passion for aviation was sparked by his father's career in the U.S. Air Force while stationed at Offutt Air Force Base. He earned his A&P certificate and an Associate's Degree in Applied Science from Iowa Western Community College.
As the Airframe Manager, Leone will oversee the department's strategic initiatives, ensuring the quality and performance of every team continues to meet what customers have come to expect from Duncan Aviation.
“One of my goals in this position is to implement Lead Tech training classes instructed by experienced airframe tech reps to encourage up-and-coming technicians to take on more responsibilities and become our future leaders,” says Leone. “Throughout my career, I have been given incredible resources and encouragement towards my personal and professional growth. I want to continue to provide the same level of support to others.”
Leone resides in Lincoln with his wife, Ashley, and their three children, Johnny (5), Lily (1), and Jack (1). Outside of work, he enjoys spending time with his family, smoking meats and cheeses, landscaping, and supporting the University of Nebraska Cornhuskers.
