We at Duncan Aviation strongly recommend complying with Service Bulletin 196 (Falcon 900B) or Service Bulletin 024 (Falcon 900EX, s/n ‹ 20) at the next “C” inspection. This Bulletin provides inspection and corrosion protection on the top surfaces of the LH and RH group 2 fuel tanks. Even though these bulletins have been out for a number of years, there are still aircraft that are not in compliance. On pre-bulletin aircraft, the corrosion has to migrate past vent line protection cups to be noticed, and the potential to be severe at that point is high.
